We are seeking an IT Manager to lead our information technology efforts, from planning and building out secure networks to troubleshooting hardware and software issues. This role requires strong project management, technical proficiency (both hardware and software), creativity and strategic thinking to ensure our systems and on-site and virtual teams have reliable access to Sound’s IT tools and systems. We are looking for a candidate who is highly organized, self-motivated, and a problem solver. They should be collaborative and capable of independently executing their responsibilities. The IT Manager plays a critical role in our continued growth directly enhancing the team experience. This role reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and is based in our Emeryville, CA headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and networks for new facilities
  • Budget for and monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
  • Manage company data security policies and initiatives
  • Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
  • Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs
  • Steward our Google Drive and related information management systems, keeping organized and communicating internal policies
  • Assess vendors from capability and ROI perspective, and develop test strategies for new hardware and software
  • Provision hardware and software for current and new employees
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT
  • Enhance the employee experience by reinforcing a culture that expresses our values of Creativity, Respect, Boldness & Ownership 
  • Special projects and other duties, as needed

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2 – 5 years of experience working in IT operations
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
  • Proficiency in administering Google Suite, Zoom, Slack and other common software productivity solutions
  • Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite a plus
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
