SAN FRANCISCO, CA March 17, 2020 – Sound Agriculture welcomes Joel Lipsitch as Vice President of Marketing and Sam Wilson as Director of Agronomy. They join a team focused on driving continued growth and adoption of Sound’s products to enable more sustainable farming across the United States.

Previously, he held senior roles at John Deere, Bayer Crop Science and Iteris, Inc. Most recently, Joel lead global sales and product management for Iteris ClearAg, helping transition from a direct-to-grower to a B2B business model and driving significant growth in Europe and the United States. Sam Wilson is a seasoned agronomy technical support expert who has held roles for leading agriculture companies, including FMC Corporation, Syngenta, ADAMA USA, Verdesian Life Sciences and Nutrien Ag Solutions. Sam will use his background in working with a variety crops across the United States to develop trial protocols that will support product performance insights, from soil health to yield performance. In his role, he will provide technical support to customers throughout the country.

It is an opportune time for Joel and Sam to join Sound, as they bring extremely relevant and valuable expertise that will help propel us forward,” said Diego Angelo, Chief Commercial Officer at Sound Agriculture. We have had exceptional interest in our first product, Source™, and are looking forward to providing even more experienced support for our customers, while expanding our footprint.”

Sound launched its first product, Source™, for the 2020 growing season to support sustainability efforts on the farm, while helping growers improve productivity and profitability. As a crop enhancement product, Source uses a novel mode of action to give plants access to more of the nitrogen and phosphorus that exists in the environment. Three years of trials show that Source increases yield an average of 8.6 bushels per acre with an 85% win rate, and university trials showed that Source can maintain and improve yields with less applied nitrogen.
