Eric Davidson, PhD

Eric is devoted to using his scientific expertise to tackle the most difficult challenges facing food and agriculture today. After years of studying biological system interactions in the lab, he co-founded Sound Agriculture to ensure that the insights gained could be deployed in real-world situations, helping improve grower productivity, profitability and sustainability. 

Eric was a postdoctoral researcher at Imperial College London and has authored and invented more than 10 publications and patents. Since the inception of Sound, Eric has raised over $80 million from prominent financial and strategic investors to support company growth. He received a PhD in cell and molecular biology and a BS in microbiology, both from the University of Texas at Austin.
